aright, so this is what i did. I put in one of those little metal bracket things that came with the ebay kit. It came with two of em. Theyre like the chrome little holder thigns that has holes in it so you can like secure the filter. Well i bent the thing so its not pushing my intake a little up higher and pulling it inward toward the engine and away from the cylinder. but i still cant get more that a few cm. I did install it from the engine outward. Ill try to post som pics. but i noticed my metal was worn nicely(well, it hurt, but you know, there was a nice gash).
