ACT apparently is well-known for killing thrust bearings *from the mouth of TWO different ACT distributors!*, Clutchmasters and Comp. Clutch both have no real offerings.
SPEC? Cernterforce? i HATE RAM. so anyways... toss out some ideas. please.
oh yes, 206/212 to the ground and i like powershifting. so your average replacement clutch will meet a similar fate.

uhhh ok do you by chance have any mods done to your car??? or is this just for a better then stock upgrade??
i am currently using an ACT clutch, have had it for prolly 2.5 years, and i highly abuse it, and it holds up like a champ, not only do i abuse my car, but i auto-x it regulary, and do various other racing with it, and have no complaints. oh and btw my car is turbo charged, so the clutch takes that much more of a beating.

matt, i agree. we (work) have a deep hookup thru comp. clutches and they have an offering for my car. we are going to call them monday and verify that the torque ratings (percentages above stock) apply to a MSP. if they cannot quare me up, i am
going to have my bud in Cali drop-ship me a stage 2 SPEC.

I'd just go ahead with the Spec clutch man.
I spoke with Centerforce about building a protege clutch and they told if I shipped them a new friction surface and pressure plate they would make one for us....but they had to be NEW with 0 miles. Until I get a hook-up from a dealer I'm not going to be doing that!

i hear that ****. i am sorta... EHH... on centerforce. i know the pedal effort in my stage 4 6 puck unsprung was phenominal. direct, solid, and EASIER than stock. in a mustang, thats a damn achievement!
competition clutch makes a good piece, without a doubt. if i can get a CC for a good enough percentage less than a SPEC, i will try. i can get those warrantied all night long.
