Shifter Warranty

I know it's probably been covered already but I've done my search and can't find it. I'm on the verge of ordering the kartboy shifter and bushings and am concerned it will void my warranty. a yes it will or no it won't would be sincerely appreciated.

Thanks

(waiting for inability to search flames )

it will only void your warranty IF mazda can prove that the shifter caused whatever issue you need to use your warranty on. example: it will NOT void you warranty if your your front wheel bearings need to be replaced, but it might void the warranty on your gearbox. however, it also depends on the dealer you take the car to. one might blame the shifter, while another might not even care.

If you have a warranty issue with something related to the short shifter, just remove it before you take the car in.

Official Warranty Issue Search Flame! (Since you said you were expecting one)

Do Search before you ask these questions you knucklehead!!!!

Just Kidding! I can't imagine any warranty issues that a Kartboy shifter would cause? But you never know about dealers huh? A Kartboy installation is a piece of cake. Re-installing the OEM shifter, should you ever have to, is just as simple.

Talking

Thanks all for the good points. I'm just getting too worked up. Let's face it, if I was truly concerned about warranty I shouldn't mod anything and we all know the chances are of that!!!

Thanks for the advice and I'll let you all know how it works out when I get it!
