Safest place to jack up a Protege...?

an 03' ES to be exact.

I did a search and found an earlier topic about this, but nobody seemed able to give a sure answer....

I'd like some more opinions, if possible.

you want to lift the whole front of the car in the air? if you look just off-center (driversside) there will be a black crossmember that runs from the front of the engina bay to the rear. On this bar is a ****. place the cup of the jack on this **** and it'll rest perfectly.

Jack it up slowly...if the engine moves and the car doesn't then you've got it in the wrong place.

And it's guaranteed that there'll be no bending or snapping, eh?
