Foam filters

So what's the scoop on those foam air filters? I've been tempted to try one, but I'm still just not sure. Anyone know how well they work?

paper or cotton will work the best, the foam "pores" are too large and let dust through

I'm actually going to eb trying one one out very soon and I'll be able to give a full report. I'm very critical and will be unbiased about it.

p.s. I'll be running the Monsterflow filter from FC3S boy...he sells them on this forum.

Where I work we have a couple of street sweepers that use air filters with a foam wrap. And suprisingly it collects alot of dirt and dust. I don't know for performance applications. I'd love to see the report on it when Roddimus gets done. I've been curious about trying one on my truck. But haven't been to sure if it would be worth it.

^^ it sounds like it was over oiled, the foam ones work great, from what i have found out is a paper out flows a foam when new but once they get a little dirt on them the foam flows more air, I would'nt touch anything made by arospeed i had there muffler and it lasted about 3 weeks- chris
