I don't know very much about any plans but in my area Mazda dealerships are offering 2003 P5's at $4500 discount off of MSRP which includes rebates and dealership discounts. That's about $1500 below invoice. So you could get a fully loaded P5 in the 15's. How you check the newspaper?

Mind you this was a few months ago (Feb.) I got (D) (ford worker) plan and that was only a couple hundred off of what the dealer was sellign the car for. MSRP was 17500 (I beleive) the dealer was offereing for 16400 and I got 16005. This was at 0% financing, I could have gotten the car for 15k at 3.6% and a $1000 rebate. I had to trade in the tour at a loss (the thing was falling apart) so I took the 0% so I got the balance of my loan still on the tour at 0%.
There are advertisements around here for P5's at 13k!!! Look at the paper and bring the ad in if you like a dealer better then the one that was advertising, most times you can get a better deal if you show them the ad.

It's not just employees of Ford suppliers who are eligible. I work for a company that is a large Ford fleet customer and we get both X and S plan pricing. The last time I checked however the Mazdaspeed Protege was not eligilbe for S plan pricing.

the above info is dependant on who you work for, My dad works for jaguar, owned by ford who ownz mazda and I can get the A-plan price on all ford and jaguars but not on mazdas and other ford owned company's like aston martin.
My 2003.5 mp5 I got 4 weeks agp, only options not included were the 6disc changer and the moonroof. Listed for 17,300, x-plan was 15,300 roughly and I ended up getting it for 14,900 after a little talkin with the finance manager.
Best bet is to wheel and deal on the price untill you think you have the dealer at the lowest price you believe they will go and then go, btw I have this x-plan pin, look up the price for me. They HAVE TO show you THEIR invloice. If they feed you crap call the ford number on the direct ford web site and bitch about them.

I bought my 2002 LX Auto Sunroof and Alloys for $14115 using the FORD X-Plan which when buying a Mazda it is called the S-Plan. The car was 16,745. I took the $1500 instead of the financing a got a better rate at my bank. So the S-Plan saved me
16,745-1500 = 15245-14115= $1,130 less then I could have had normally. Not to bad. After some cash down and 4 year financing I am just paying a tad over $200/month. I was going to buy used, but why when I can have a car with a warranty and roadside assistance for about the same price per month. Interest rates for used cars sucked at the time.
I really didn't have to have another car, but I actually save money on insurance having 2 cars, and I can save miles and gas over the Mustang. 2 cars and only 1 car payment and I save over $50 a month in insurance having 2 cars so in all reality I actually am only paying $150 a month.
