Lightbulb Radio Signal Meter

I was reading my shop manual for fun and discovered that the 2001+ Proteges have a signal meter built into the radio. It's useful if your favorite station is fuzzy at times, or if you're bored on a long road trip.

To access it, hold the power button (push in the VOL ****) and at the same time press the #2 memory button. Voila!

Just thought I'd share.

Hey thanks for the info Nick. Gee I guess I should read that section of the manual. I'll have to try that tomorrow.

Are there any other hidden VOL + memory key combinations? Any neat things the stock stereo can do?

Heh, I sat there for a minute trying several combinations, but the only one that I found was the forementioned signal strength.

You can get it to do a diagnostic test of itself, but that's about it.

hello and welcome to last year
I thought you'd dissappeared. It was so peaceful without your redundant banter.
