Racing Beat Exhuast Question

I am supposed to buy a RB axel back for 130.00, but I read this on there web site

{Protege MP3 and Mazdaspeed models - Per Mazda's request, only a rear muffler section was designed for the Protege MP3/Mazdaspeed projects and incorporated an OEM style flange to allow fitment with the stock connecting pipe. The muffler outlet was configured to allow the tip to be correctly positioned in the rear bumper of the MP3/Mazdaspeed bumper. This configuration will not allow the tip to position correctly if the MP3/Mazdaspeed muffler is installed on a non-MP3/Mazdaspeed Protege. (The MP3/Mazdaspeed muffler will not fit correctly on the Protege 5).}

Have any one tried putting one on a LX and did it work? I need info fast please, any info is GREATLY appr.

I have a Protege5 with the protege5 RB cat back and it fits fine, of course P5's have the body design of the MP3 and Mazdaspeed so the hole in the rear bumper would be fine, i dunno about LX's and the like but i doubt the difference could be that much, and if it is invest in a mazda bodykit.

It should fit just as long as you have the lower rear valance for the Mazdaspeed/MP3 set up.

No, that's not true...the quote he posted is from Racing Beat's website, and it appears to refer to the axle-back, which Racing Beat does not actually sell directly.
I have the RB axle-back on my ES, and the fit is perfect.
The sedan exhaust is of course diffrent from the P5.

So you have a ES sedan then? And you are saying it fits good? If so than I will be the owner of a RB!

I have the RB axle back on my wife P5. It does not fit correctly in the sense that the tip sticks out about 8 inches. I cut it off, and rewelded the tip and it looks and sounds great.

i got a MS exhaust for my car, which is identical to the RB exhaust... i have a 99 lx, the specs on the exhaust said it will only fit 02 up prots, but it fit just fine, it took a little work to get it on but it works fine... i love it
