Racing beat exhuast

I saw the Racing beat exhast on the mazdastuff website. Has anyone put the axle back exhuast on thier 1999-2000 Protege? On the website it says 2001-2002. Did they (Mazda) change the exhuast system on the car when the did their mid-generation freshening?

Also, anyone know any places with good prices on racingbeat stuff in Canada?

The exhaust you're referring to is not the Racing Beat. The one on mazdastuff is the Mazdaspeed (a.k.a. sport exhaust). The Racing Beat is a full cat-back system and is availiable at Advanced Imports.

I remember someone posting that they had bought the muffler (maybe in July). The guy had 5 pictures, most of them were of the stock muffler and the "sport exhuast" beside each other. There was one picture of the tip with a racing beat logo on the side. Maybe it's just the rear section of the cat-back racing beat system?

There are quite a few exhausts that you guys seem to be confusing. There are the following:

- Mazda Sport Exhaust
- Racing Beat Cat back (available through Racing Beat and select retailers)
- Racing Beat Muffler (used on MP3)

There are numerous other exhausts out there as well, either available or being developed:
- HKS Hyper Drager
- Skunk 2
- Team Moon
- Bosal
- Brullen
I probably forgot 1 or 2, but you get the jist.

I didn't realize mazdastuff sold just the racing beat muffler. I never really looked for it 'cause, well, it doesn't fit my car anyways.

Now that we got all the mufflers sorted out, back to my original question. Will the racing beat (MP3 sprt exhuast if you prefer) fit on 1999 and 2000 Protege sedans, more specifically the ES.

Like I mentioned before, I don't think Mazda has changed the exhuast system on the sedans but I could be wrong. I would hate to buy this thing and not have it fit
