The ECU is typically located behind/under the glovebox on the passenger side of the vehicle. Just follow some wires until they all clump together

By the way, it's the software in the ECU that is hard to crack, not finding the ECU itself.

It's in the passenger foot well. You'll have to pull back the carpet and all and remove a metal plate.

Careful of the plate because some sadistic monkey sharpened the edges of mine before it went into the car. I'm not the only who has been cut neither.

sin't the ecu just on an EEPROM? can yo just rip the code off with an eeprom programer? those programers are free from your local college j/k

when i was in college i was allowed to use the eeprom and one of my class mates downlaoded an "optimized" code for a feiro and he burned the eeprom with the new code and it worked

If you have any trouble at all finding it, go up to your dealer and simply ask a technician. I'm sure they could point you in the right direct, and it should be free of charge, just taking a few seconds to ask how to get to it.
