Is this price w/ list of options worth it?

Im getting a silver protege5 with:

- Automatic sport overdrive
- Leather upholstry
- 6 in dash cd player
- cargo net
- floor mats
- all other standards
- * no moonroof

for a price of 17,978 and with tax and everything, its 19,640.

*because im choosing 0% financing im not taking the 750 rebate

*im getting it from carsdirect.com

So anybody here have any opinions about pricing? and what should i check for in a new car before i purchase?

Please reply soon!

What is invoice on that with those options? You can price invoice on sites like www.edmunds.com. Most people tend to think that 1-3% over invoice price (before rebate is applied) is a pretty good deal. Gives the dealer a decent profit, and in most cases gets you well below sticker price.

Off the top of my head it sounds like a decent deal. But from what I've heard you don't actually buy the car from CarsDirect, they just refer you to a participating dealer who may or maynot take the CarsDirect price...

In many cases if you are an educated buyer you can do better without much more hastle than what CarsDirect can do for you.

Good luck whatever you decide!
