kinda hard to say without knowing the condition of the subs and box, but brand new, the 10w6 is about $150 or so (not too sure on price). so if it's used but in good condition, offer like $150; doesn't hurt to try.

if you got a pic or a little more info on the subs abd box we could be more helpful.

well that might suck some, cause i'm betting he won't want to take too big a loss on that. if he wants the same price or something in the ballpark, then that would be up to you if you like the sound of it, have the space, need two 10's etc. if i was a jl person, i would probably make an offer for everything based on the two subs, and not count the price of the box. actually, i would say about +/- $250 for everything, depending on what he paid for it. reason being is that you can get two solid 10's of another brand, and a box for about $250.

The JL 10w6 have been discontinued for about 2 years now, so they may not be brand new. When new, the 10W6 retailed for $249 each. $150 was about dealer cost. The box would not make a difference in determining the price for the setup. You would be better off getting a box made for your car instead. You can test them to make sure the woofers are in good shape by gently pressing on the cone. If it feels rough, the voicecoils could be blown. It should be smooth and not make any crackling/scratching noises. If they are in good shape, I would proabably make an offer for about $250 for the pair.

Keep in mind that the W6 woofers use 2 6-ohm voice coils per woofer. This can give you either a 1.5, 3, or 6 ohm load for both speakers. You will lose output from the subs if you ran them in the 6-ohm configuration. However, some amps may not be able to handle a 3 ohm load, and will heat up very quickly. Forget about the 1.5 ohm setup as there are only a handful of amps out there that can handle this in bridged mode. If you need more help with this, just let me know.
