P5 turbo?

does anyone know what you need to do to take a 2.0 pro5 and make it a turbo? i was thinking all you need is the basic stuff (headers, intercooler, turbo, etc.) from a msp, but are the engine internals different (pistons etc.)?

You have a lot of options for doing a turbo. There are several kits on the market, which do not require upgraded internals due to modest (but effective) boost. To name a few,
- Hiboost
- Wagner
Also, there are other ways to do a boosted car. If you do a search on this forum, you'll find info on everything needed for a nice homegrown turbo kit. And, there are a couple of ambitious folks on our forum who have built their own superchargers (one guy did a 2.0L P5, and another did a 1.6L).

wow, sweet. thanks for the info. now to compare and see if an engine swap with an msp would be cheaper than 4 grand for a turbo kit. that hiboost kit is so calling me though

I've not seen a HiBoost kit sell for $4K in almost 2 years!! I think they are about $3600+shipping now.

lol MSP engine swap...first good luck finding one...second it is simply a stock 2.0L with a VERY poorly designed turbo system by Calloway Cars...just look for a turbo kit
