I just got finished reading some posts on the mazdamp3 site and the new MazdaSpeed Protege is just amazing. 215 tires, finely tuned suspension and LSD make for a corner carver that leaves the ITR behind. Enough mazda-warrantied power to eat up a bad WRX driver and leave that sorry excuse for an SE-R crying to be retuned. Good they decided to add a heavy duty clutch and beefy driveshafts but I have a feeling that some spoiled lil brats are going to complain soon enough about how the tranny is **** and can't handle the power. You got non-shifting ppl driving MP3's blowing trannies and the complaints will come in November and December on their excuses on how Mazda should replace their engines and trannies. Sad thing is that Mazda prolly do that too. But nonetheless, the new MazdaSpeed Protege is going to show up a lot of people. Ever since I got my 323, Mazda quality is up there with the best of Japanese engineering and have always wondered why Mazda is so underrated. Now if they could something about their dealerships...
