No, Protege only has an accent on the last 'e'. God, what is it with you Americans .. you're all so eager to over-use accents.. haha (kidding)

You should do some research in to the history of Mazda and Mazdaspeed (Power Axel) ... that might clear up some of your questions.

The old Mazdaspeed touring kit for the Sport-20 did not have the "M" badge on the front grille, only "mazdaspeed" (all-caps probably).

Mazdaspeed is (or was, and hopefully will be again) the Mazda equivalent of STi, Ralliart, etc...

Don't believe anything the media says ... you really think they know more than a bunch of enthusiasts who spend all day posting on a website? hehehe

quick question on the naming method.

I've seen on a TV report that the make is called Mazda, and the model is called Speed, Protege is just a tacked on word so that ppl know its in the same car family. So in reality its called a Mazda Speed , with a space. not Mazdaspeed, otherwise they would have to register that trade mark, and use that brand name as the make of the car??
Dude, you need to get that cucumber out of your phat ******* ***. You are so freaking ****.

No sense in beating a dead horse. The guy made a mistake and was already called on it. The confusion has already been cleared up.

What news report did you watch? Was it some stupid local news show? Most likely so, since they usually dont know their *** from a hole in the ground. Speed would be a pretty stupid name for a car. Mazdaspeed is a racing division for Mazda, like TRD is the racing divisison for Toyota, etc etc.

no wonder many people hate you mazda guys
Now you had to go and make a generalization like that. You too are at fault, you had to turn this back on everyone else. Remember, you too are a Mazda guy.

okay guys, this is like high school stuff...who cares how the damn thing is spelled...is someone entering the freaking spelling bee next year or what...GROW the hell up!!! NERD apologizes that he made a mistake...so it should be all good.

and another thing some knuckle head said something about "you americans" you didn't have to go there!!! that was uncalled for. that's one last thing you want in here is that nationality ****.

i've been in this sport of import racing for about 12 years now, this is the 1st time i ever owned a MAZDA in my life, i had a Civic hatchback. 12 years ago running 16's we were happy, because back then you had no access to all of these parts we have now. what i'm saying is just represent your ride we all have a good car (MAZDA), don't too much on the exterior and looking like a christmas tree down the street then people will talk smack about us "MAZDA GUYS".

SO CAN WE JUST ALL GET ALONG....

FUTURE MODS:
FORGET THE "SHOW" IT'S ABOUT THE "GO"

Good to know we got really passionate people who care about what's right, what's wrong and how things should be.

Glad to be part of a crowd that has strong opinions, unlike several other forums that are made up of yes-men and women.
