Mazda say one thing on 2002 MP5, Mazda Speed Tech says other wize?
Here is the question.
Sounds stupied so be nice.
Tire pressure ,on a 2002 MP5.
The manula says 35 PSI.
The tires say Max 51 PSI
The Mazda Speed Tech says 43-45 PSI...
Ok this is what happen. I have never owner low profile tires before.....
One day I was washing the car, detailing . When I checked the tires, when I was putting on the tire dressing. I read this. Max pressure 51 PSI.
I read the Manual it says 35 PSI.
Well I talked to a Mazda speed Mec. He said it should be about 45 PSI on those tires . Because of the side wall and there have been blow outs because of low pressure, and Mazda is going to be sending out a update something to this fact.
Ok ,has anybody heard this?
I put the tires to 43-45 psi. The car handles allot better.
So who is right here?
What is your 2 cents on this matter?

the next time you are in a mall or any parking lot for that matter....take a peek at the tires of the cars you are walking by....you will note that there is a MAX TIRE PRESURE on all of them....and if you check with some of your friends and see what their tires say...and then what they are running IN their tires...you will find the same.....the running presure is a LOT lower than what the MAX on the tire says....
its sorta like the REDLINE for your tires.....you don't run your engine at redline ALL THE TIME do you?

People are missing the point.
I got the answer I was looking for.
Yes 45 psi is to hi.
So I put it down to 35.
I never had Low profile tires before.
So when you read one thing hear another, sometimes right and wrong gets blured.
I just heard nitemare storys about low profile tires , from long ago.
So just like taking care of the car to get most proforms .
Handling,gas mileage.
Thanks all.
Oh I never red line a car.

How low of profile are you talking? I'm running 205/40/17's and I run 45 psi in them. My friends has some 205/35/18's and he runs 50 psi. I have to disagree with what most have said here. If you are talking about the tires that came stock with your car, then yes follow what the door sticker says. If not, then run what the tire manufacturer reccommends. We run high psi in our tires so as not to help prevent bending rims, and better handling.

32 (door sticker)
that mechanic doesn't know what he is talking about, probably never even seen a 50 series before you should ask him what he inflates his bias plys to.
