Hey, all

I'm a recent transplant from the forums at Protege5.com...found out you guys have a forum for my local Protege group, so here I am.

I've been a P5 owner for about 6 months, and I'm still in love...these things rule.

If I ever have doubts about my car, I just need to hit the car wash, and the doubts are quickly replaced by a huge grin.

So far, all I've really done so far is the SRI intake with Monster Flow filer, and some lighting mods. I'm still up in the air about what type of exhaust and lowering I'm going to do.

Here's some pics of where we stand as of yesterday:

The red on the bumper is a reflection from the freaky camera flash on my dad's digital camera...

hey netguy and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to our Club. There are TWO BIG fridge'S in the corner with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have.

make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!! AGAIN! :{D

Hey, welcome! Car looks great

A friend of mine is retiring his old Civic hatchback ('90, I think), and I told him to check out the P5. He said he loves the look and I suggested a test drive. Got an e-mail from him today:

"had a test drive today and loved it.. went to see the Ford Focus...JUNK! There were two stupid ergonomic problems just checking it out...feels Cheap but costs more..go figure!"

I'm lovin' my 4-week Pro... zoom zoom!

welcome Netguy,

I like the blacked out lights.

question: are your foglights blacked out or do you have a fog light cover?

Hey pauche

The tail-light stuff is black vinyl (same stuff used to make signs). That stuff is REALLY stretchable.

The foglights and side-markers are covered in black "Ricochet" which is a fairly thick plastic made to protect headlights, etc.

Thanks for the compliments, and the welcome!

Like your ride. I love my PR5, especially when it is clean. I gave it a good wash today. She looks good now. Looks funny to see one w/factory exhaust. I have my mazdaspeed off my old ES2.0, chopped about 5 inches, windows tinted and short antenna. I have the roofrack on mine becasue I use it all the time. Would like to lower it sometime......have to get some funds though.

Welcome to the forum........
