Just Bought a 01 MP3

Well i just bought a 01 MP3. its my first 4 door sedan, but i am glad its a mazda. Here is a list of cars i have owned in order:
85 Toyo Celica Gt
88 Mazda Rx7 GXL
83 Mazda RX7 GSL
82 Mazda RX7
80 Mazda RX7
88 Mazda GTU
87 Toyo FX16
72 Mazda 808
71 Mazda RX2
72 Mazda RX2
93 Ford Ranger
04 Mazda Rx8 GT
90 Mazda RX7 Vert ~Current
01 Mazda Protege MP3 ~Current

Anyways, i love the older Rotaries, I restored one of the RX2s to almost sotck condition. But the MP3 has kinda high miles at 98k, its missing the stock sub, which I am kind bumbed about, but i will either find one or put a different one in. I couldnt really tell if the rear door speakers were hooked up or even there. I need to check that out once i get some time. I love learning more about the cars i own, and am always looking for more info. Eventually i will upgrade the stereo, and the suspension. I would like a little more power so I will be looking at doing all the normal mods, and may eventually consider a turbo upgrade.

I hope to find a MP3 Brochure to add to my collection or at least an online version. I will call Mazda to find out the production number of it as well.

I have attached some pictures, asn you can see the sub is gone, and i dont have the stock rims. I will be posting alot more because I dont know much about Proteges, so be prepared. If you guys and gals have any great links please post them so I can take a look. Best regards, Matt

Those wheels are so close to stock, I don't see why the P.O changed 'em. Anyway, congrats on the MP3, and get rid of those tail lights!

Stock ones!

Welcome to the forum. Nice find, a yellow one, much rarer. 500 vs 2500 blue iirc.
You came to the right place if you wanna learn something about Proteges.

Oh, and impressive list of previous rotaries.
