only free if you have the stuff mentioned above....
hacksaw
ducting
screen
etc
you dont 'need" the ducting, but it works tons better with it....you can go drive the **** out of the car, stop, open the hood and the fender side of the airbox is cool while the motor side is hot...

i like that setup. looks nice and sleek on the outside but that heat shield could use a little help. suppose one were to have foglights. would it be just as easy to put the ducting next to the foglight assembly?

As I said a few times, heat shield is protoype. The aluminum one will be made this weekend when I get the time...
If you have fogs Im sure there is a way to duct some air...maybe using the corksport fender liner with the duct on the bottom...I have mine cut open to allow air in as well...there is no room "next" to the fogs, they fill the aperature very well...

Very cool, the front intake looks awesome. If I hadnt ordered a SRI, I might have considered this modification.

Thanks, a lot of work went into that little piece, (you should see my grill) You have to break out all the webbing, sand them down, cut the hole, fit the intake trumpet, the fit the screen and epoxy it on....then paint it...Im happy with it, I cant wait to make my final heat shield, my goal is to use all factory supplies mounting points...

I'd like to try an SRI to see if it gives anymore gains than what I've done....I'd bee surprised if it did. My next goal is to replace all the stock tubing with mandrel bends...
