Unhappy Help a girl out, please... P5 not driven for a long period

I think my battery is dead...
I tried charging it with one of those external battery and the car was able to start up for a few minutes, then it ran out of battery again...
Is the battery dead?

Just wondering if I haven't driven my p5 for a long time, what are the things that should be changed besides the engine oil?

OH....and one last question, what should I do BEFORE I leave it in garage for a long period of time, like for half a year?

I am just a frequent flyer...it's not that I don't luv my p5...
Thanks in advance you all

you can pull the battery out and take it to any canadian tire store and they can check the condition of the battery for free (if the battery is dead you should probalby get the charging system checked). If your going to let the car still for a long period of time you should probably pull the battery out and throw a trickle charger on it....get one of those engine storage sprays where you spray it inside the intake ( I would pull out the air filter box and spray ahead of the air filter box ). Throw in some gas stabalizer in the fuel tank, jack the car off the ground and then block the tailpipe off with a rag. There are probalby more things you could do but I think that's the minimum you should do other then make sure all the fluids are topped off and check the condition of the fluids.
