Talking Happy new owner of a P5

Hi all,

Just pcked up my new classic red P5 yesterday. I am one happy man! Just one question. The shiter seems to virbrate excessively when it is in gear (well, compare to Honda). Is it normal. Will it improve after the break in period? Had 4 miles on the car when I pick it up. 24 miles now and counting...

that's because it is a rod linkage and not a cabled one.

The description by TheMAN in the following thread explains it a little better... it then turned into a short throw shifter thread... but the first few posts are the ones relevant to your question.

Welcome aboard and happy motoring!
