gauge wiring stuff

well, since i broke the needles off of the water temp and gas gauges, i want to just add some aftermarket gauges somewhere...i know that the sender wires for these two gauges are in those harnesses going into the clucster, but which ones? and how would i hook these up?

you'll have to install the proper sensors for the new guages. you can't use the stock sensors, they are not made for the new guages.

what in the heck were you doing messing with the cluster that you broke the needles??

I did the same thing....

I did the same thing when trying to put my indiglo faces on. I swear there is no way to get that tiny hole over both sides of that huge needle and the large center piece. I broke the same 2 gauges. An official Mazda junkyard that is in, like, Georgia or something charges $200 for a whole new cluster and prices just went up even higher, so I found another place that is even closer to me in Illinois and bought a cluster for only $95. What a steal, huh!!!!!

It will change

When you put a whole new cluster in the mileage will change to that of the new cluster. Now I don't have to be so embarassed about my car, LOL. I have a 1999 ES with 106k but my new gauges say 30k, but of course it is illegal to lie about the mileage if you ever sell the car.
