I just called European..

The gentleman quoted $220 (CAD) + GST for the Stoneguard thing. He said they do "12 inches on the nose up the hood, 20mm on the lights and 40mm on the fogs."

Thinking about it now.. does that mean they do the nose and up the hood, or just the top of the nose and up the hood?

Tinting quote was $289 (CAD) + GST (back 7, brow and sunroof).. I've seen two of their tinting jobs and they looked great..

He gave me what I feel is a very nice "package" deal.. so I made an appointment for early next week... I hope their work on my car lives up to everything I've heard about them.

Sounds like it is a pretty good deal. Do you want to meet somewhere before so you can see what mine looks like? Personally I think the one I saw on spikeyC is better than mine and he got it done there. By the way, I think when he says 40 mm on the lights I think he means 40 mils which is really a thickness measurement. The ones on the fog are really thick compared to the lights.

There is no nose on our cars as the grill is right before the hood. The Stoneguard just goes 12" up the hood from right after the grill.

Someone posted a website with tons of pictures of a red p5 like mine that had it done.. so I *think??* I know what I'm getting into.. it will be a bit noticable (depending on the distance and angle).. it won't have the shine the rest of my car has.. and wax and goo will collect where the coating line is..

However, I've been looking at bra options since I got my car a month ago.. I'm much to lazy to take it off everytime I clean my car, and I just don't like the look of them (or the damage some of them can do to your paint).. this really seems like the best choice for me..

The guy did say mils.. I wrote it down wrong

Yeah, I am like you and I hate bras on the front of cars. Changes the whole look and to me I think it looks silly. Why not cover the whole car in a suit of black leather so you can protect the whole finish.

By the way, I am probably going to be up at Soda Jerks in St. Albert, on Thursday night (Sept 19) around 7:30 pm to meet some of the guys from the Miata club. Maybe we can meet there so you can see my P5?
