Unhappy My Car has a friggin mind of it's own.Acceleration and Deceleration Problems are back

Well, my car is in the dealership for the THIRD time because no one can seem to find the problem...but this time they put me in an '07 Camry. Last time I had a Yaris so I'm really moving up in the world!

My car accelerates and decelerates uncontrollably all the time now, mostly minor, sometimes severe. It only used to be while I was in traffic. Now it's everywhere so it feels as if it's getting worse. I'm seriously going to get myself in an accident one of these days....

This is what I am experiencing: You're in the car and you want to impress someone out on the street so you rev your engine up and down and up and down, etc. My car does that by itself and I'm not trying to impress anybody. It doesn't matter if I'm in neutral, first or second. Usually it accelerates and decelerates at 2-3,000 miles. Yesterday it went up to almost 4,000. Getting rid of the car is not an option either. I still have three years left to pay it off. I really don't want to get rid of it anyway, I love it.

Last week they replaced the throttle body because the sensor in it was giving the main computer mixed signals. Two clutch switches were replaced in November, thinking that that would solve it. I asked my new friend Dan, the mechanic if he checked the tranny and he didn't yet because he felt that that wasn't the problem and the way that he explained it made sense, I just don't remember how he explained it so I cant' repeat it. Someone else that I had talked to (a friend who is a mechanic, not anyone at the dealership) said that it might be full of anti freeze or something??

I have less than 2,000 miles left under my warranty and considering my car was just in the shop a week ago, I'm taking full advantage of my dealership and the warranty (and free rental) until they fix it.

Man - sounds like if they don't fix the problem soon, then your car could be lemon-ized.
At least it's under warranty for the time being. I would maybe consider talking to the dealership and they could make a deal with you like an extended warranty or they pay for it until problem is resolved even after your warranty expires. 2,000 miles are going to be up before you know it, then you'll be paying out of you're pocket. Sounds like they can't figure out what is going on. I'd be a little nervous about it. Make the dealership be responsible.

You might also want to check what your states lemon laws are, it can vary greatly from state to state. If you think your car may qualify as a lemon, you could try tlking to a lawyer if the dealer is non responsive. Also, DON"T WAIT till the warrantee's expired to talk to the dealership about this.

have you added any aftermarket mods to the engine...like a CAI, or something like that? it sounds like you engine does not know the right air/fuel mixture it should be using.

The airflow sensor on the intake would be responsible for that. Have the dealership replace or reflash all the sensors and reflash the ecu. This sounds more like a computer glitch than anything physical.
