i was just wondering how far anyone has gone on one tank of gas, 2.0 engine, all highway driving

 

I've gone about 630-660 kms on one tank, almost all highway driving, cruising at an average speed of about 120-130 km/h.

2.0L 5-speed manual.

 

My max was 684 km on a full tank, mostly highly driving around 100-110 kph with a 5 spd

 

I drove 380 miles on 12 gallons...I had the cruise control set at 70 mph.

 

about 360 miles on full tank with 4 people at 80mph with automatic

 

580 Km on a tank in the city ..... still working the engine in ....
it is suppose to get better?

 

400 miles on approximately 12.5 gals.

5-spd.

 

i get about 580+KM stop and go driving around the city

 

Commute 60 miles each day with 90% freeway driving at about 75 mph (traffic jams sometimes). Getting 27-29 mpg lately. That translates to about 370 to 400 miles per tank. I usually fill up when the guage is at 1/4 full. Just filled up today. 10.6 gallons for 306 miles.

BTW, my 5-speed P5 has 16000 miles with roof rack taken off. No mods. Mobil1 5w-30.

 

wow! some people are quoting over 550 km on a full tank. My 5-speed Protege GT already has 18,000 kms on it and the most I've ever gotten was 525 km, mixed city and highway driving but mostly city driving. Maybe I drive my Pro a little too hard... Most of the time, especially right now during the cold season, I only get approx. 400~450 kms out of a full tank.

 

hmm.. my auto 02 protege only gets about 225 miles on a full tank.. city and highway driving..

 

wait a damn minute... how are ya'll get such good miles!?! i go tthe 2002.5 auto sports shifter and i get like 270miles MAX i've tried different types of the gases (87, 89, 93) and it's practically the same.. what's the deal!?!

 

Well... first, it's an automatic, and I bet it's a 2.0L. Your 270 comes to about 450km. I don't think that is too bad.

I get about 550Km on mine (1.6L 5sp) with city driving (very heavy traffic in the mornings).

 

370-400 miles??? That's approx. 605~650 kms on a full tank! I don't think I'll ever get that much... what's up with that? Does your CAI or other mods improve gas mileage by that much?

 

I went from Saskatoon to Calgary and still had around a eighth tank left.
