Comparisions between Protege and IS 300

Before I looked up the protege, I wanted the lexus IS 300. But I think I'll save over 10k. I think they look fairly alike. Am I crazy or do they look simliar?

The wagon "IS 300" looks like a P5 also.

Aside from maybe a few minor physical similarities, there is really no comparison at all. Take this from a guy who has owned both. If I could still afford the IS there is no way in hell I'd be driving a protege. Not that the protege is a bad car, its not at all, its just no IS300 that's all. Just my .02.

over 3200 pounds.......

215hp from a 3L V6

& it's rear wheel drive.......

it's quite different, however the body is almost similar with the IS300 sacrificing some window area for looks hehe

Wow, I thought I was the only one who thought the Pro and IS300 looked alike. Everyone usually says they don't...but the C-pillar and rear window area look almost exactly the same. Sure they are two totally different cars but they are indeed styled similar.

IS300 looks lonely in that picture while the Protege seems to be getting the hot couples surrounding it.

Well obviously, I mean I'd take a Modena over a Miata any day too.... priced differently though hehe

If I had the $ there would be a red IS300 5-speed in my garage rather than a white Protege. The Protege is the next best thing in my opinion.
