when i first got in my car the other day, i kinda thought it was in 2nd at first, but when the car warmed up it quit. it only did it in second gear. i think its actually got something to do with the fans in the engine kicking on and off though. not really sure.

well first of all when a clutch slips its when u ride the clutch, and/or u wore out the clutch cause u cant drive one correctly. Warranty will 99.9% of the time not cover the clutch cause of missuse. How long have u had the car. if its just a few days old u "MAY" be able to get a new one. i dont know. Some warranty companies can be a bitch about that kinda stuff. So it looks as if ur goin to dish out about $450-500 for a new clutch!

sry buddy

I don't experience my clutch slipping, but, occasionally it feel as if something is not right. When I'm engaging into gear and the clutch starts grabbing again, it feels like it's skipping, or perhaps not grabbing properly, almost as if the springs were not grabbing evenly or the axis of rotation did not meet in the center (I probably have no clue what I'm talking about here, but, I know that what I'm experiencing is not right). No idea what it might be.

B.T.W. I've been driving manual strans for many years now, and never had any tranny problems, surely no one is going to tell me I don't know how to drive.

Thumbs down Same issue

I've got what sounds to be the same issue with my Pro5. Happens more when the car is cold and going into first. It's been happening since I bought the car to very shortly after. I've taken it back twice and can't duplicate it when they're there since the engine is warm.

Basically, I could be shifting into first and the front of the car bounces until the clutch is let out completely. The rpm's stay contstant (2-3k) but the car's forward motion is next to none. You could imagine the looks I get when this happens...

They've reprogrammed the comp, though the problem is still there... Doesn't SEEM as prevalent, though this could just be due to the slightly warmer weather we've been having in the area after the service. (Car still rattles like hell though, mostly when cold, but it's been catching up to it while its warm lately.)

About time to start writing letters?
