Called Mazda Complaint line

Yesterday I called the Mazda Complaint line to complain about the shitty paint on my mazdaspeed. They told me the two biggest complaints about new Mazda cars is the trannies and the shitty paint. I told them my 1989 Mazda MX-6 turbo looks better that my 2003 Mazdaspeed. I told the I have 30 coats of wax on my 2003 and everything sticks to it. I wax my 1989 once a year and it looks brand new, a few chips but no very noticable. My Mazdaspeed is a chiped piece of crap. The paint is so thin. We are paying more and more money for our cars, and they are getting worse. Ok that's enough for me, I am done now. If you want to complain the number is 1-800-222-5500

It has to do with the federal standards....every new car is getting weaker and weaker paint. I think it's because they aren't allowed to put as much lead or some other important material in it anymore.

That's exactly why.
Kind of off topic, but I have a couple of sponsers for surfing, and my wetsuit sponser(Hotline) can't use the same paint on the rubber as other manufacturers because they're suits are American made. The EPA has come down on them so hard that they use this shitty paint that flakes off in two months. Meanwhile, other companies(o'neill, rip curl, etc.) that have they're **** made in Taiwan or Singapore appear to make a better suit because the lamo's are all pretty and durable. Then the whole f-ing suit falls apart in six months.
I guess what I'm getting at is that it's actually good that your paint's chipping, because that means your car was made in America or Japan! I'll bet Mexican Jettas have great paint. Too bad they're electrical system blows.
