Blew the transmisson in MP3
well, the same tranny which is in my 93 probe se just did the same thing at 140k miles. i've owned it since 37k miles and it showed no signs of any problems. oh, and mine got stuck in gear and wouldn't move at all. it wasn't the fork, it was the gears inside. i broke almost every tooth off them. they found chunks of metal when they opened the tranny and when they drained the fluid. works great now though. chris
Mazda pulled out the transmission and checked the forks, they those were operating fine. They also said there are no signs of abuse.
I can live with the fact of slammin it into gear. That really doesn't concern me anymore.
But when Mazda has to bow down and give me a new
transmission and clutch, because of bent forks, then something is really wrong with most of the ideals of these few who insist to know all.
Sorry to state it so harshly, but it seems like some of the people here need this type of response.
If I even get real data on paper, I will let everyone know.
But as it stands now, why would Mazda waste a weeks worth of money on a rental truck " 4 door XLT" and take up a bay at the service center, pay everyone to take out a transmission and replace a clutch, for a 3 minute adjustment??????? Not to say it doesn't take 3 minutes to correct bent forks.
Not too mention I own the only MP3 in the county and the car was in the showrrom when I got it, so why **** someone off, who draws every person buying cars at the dealership to my broken *** car and have to spill the deal of why its here, looking good, but not driveable.
