Swap?

Would it be possible to swap the Mazda3 2.3 engine into a MP5 or Protege? And if so I guess the computer would have to be changed as well?

Do a search on this--it's been covered before and the answer is, basically, no.

too many problems...first thing is on the MZR's they are in the engine bay reverse of how they are in any other 4 cyl mazda...exhaust in the rear and intake in the front....you can totally get more power out of a turbo for cheaper

You'll have to do a search to figure THAT one out, LOL. I'm sure it's been covered before!

Your all wrong. You can put any engine in any car/truck/ small golf cart-- its just getting all the parts to fit. I'm sure if you modified alot of the inards you could make it work... is it worth it? Id rather buy a turbocharger or the supercharger kit that the kickass prime is making.

i dont think anyone said it CAN'T be done...just not cost effective....is it a good idea to spend $10,000+ when you can get 2x the gain by spending $3000 ??
