No, the Protege 5 exhaust is about five inches too short. Or the sedan exhaust is five inches to long...Whatever way you want to look at it.

No, unless you wanna do modifications. There is a separate sedan kit.

RB has a full catback for the sedan owners as well. Part number is 76465 (P5 system p.n. is 76466.)

I don't think I'd invest this much in a catback for a sedan, seeing as how you can get just the RB axleback muffler section (read - MP3 OE part) from the dealer for about $165. This in my eyes is the steal of the century! If only I'd have got a sedan......

For the sound and looks, MackDaddy is right.

I'm wondering if there's big performance difference between the axleback and the catback?

Catback is supposed to squeeze out 4.7(?) more HP according to Racing Beat's dyno.

There should be a difference, considering the axle back is just a muffler (read as OEM sized inlet, 2"), and the cat-back is a larger pipe from the cat back...
