We just installed my shorty, but I'm hearing this strange hissing noise near the filter. It's either a hissing or a sucking noise. We put a piece of paper near the filter, and it wasn't blowing out. Everything seems tight. What the heck could this be? Is it normal? It continues for a second or two after the car is shut off too. HELP!!

 

its perfectly normal for the gen 3 pro... ive got a mp3 with the short ram and it does it too.... its jsut air intake noise... i think its kinda cool....

 

Even after it shuts off? I turned the engine off, and it still hissed for a second or two. Just want to make sure. But thanks for the quick response!

 

yeah mine does the hissing thing too... i think that sounds cool

 

Yes I have it too, its normal. The reason for it is a suction sound, and when you turn your car off, the cylinders still move for 1/2 second without power therefore there still suction and the whooooooshhhhh sound. A friend thought I had a turbo LOL!
