ONE Piece Injen CAI intake

Hey guys...I ran across this somewhere else and found it interesting....its a ONE PIECE intake from Injen for the 3rd Gen. and it states that its available in Polished, Red and Blue. if you click on the words "COLD AIR INTAKE (POLISHED)" in the description it shows you a picture of it installed....

I only had one quesiton and wondered how you would use the stock MAS...and if you DON'T use the stock one...which one do you use....

Take a Look :

That picture is of the 1.8L or 1.6L engine. I forget which one. Definately not 3rd Gen though. Injen doesn't make a one piece for the 3rd gen. Those distributors don't know what they are talking about or made a typo.

Just look at the intake manifold and you will see that it's not like our engines.

this is true.. the 1.6l intake is a one piece. if you want, take a look at http://www.logicdesigning.com/mikelu...ke/intake.html for the 1.6l install i made a year ago.

I wrote to Autocarparts.com and told them their catalog was screwed up....that either they had a typo in the year model AND the engine size...OR their description was hosed and the picture of the totally wrong application...

I was actually surprised to get a response...and in about an hour too....they wrote to me thanking me that THEY had just gotten off the phone with THEIR Injen rep and sure enough....the intake for the 2.0 is in fact a TWO PIECE and not what was pictured....lol.

anyway....I wrote them back a short note and sent them a picture of MY engine compartment with the RIGHT intake for their add. :{D

well don't ya know that some poor sap that ISN'T a member of a fine board like this to get information from was going to stumble across that lookin for an intake...order it....find out it didn't work...or hack it up in the process of TRYING to make it work...then TRY to send it back only to get screwed out of his money or send it back BEFORE modding it and still have a big hastle on his/her hands....I just hate it when people, ANY people are selling stuff that they have NO UNEARTHLY idea of what they are talking about...really pisses me off!
