GT-R was originaly coined by Ford in the 60's with their GT-racing cars...and could I remind you the Protege also had a GT-R too! Ask around there are a few on the forum.
GT-R is not a model nomenclature...It actually stands for Grand Touring - Race. Something us performance people use to do before society, government and the fuzz started oppressing us back in tha day!

Yes I know that there have been other models of cars with the GT-R designation. But the badge I'm referring to is a direct copy of the badging on GT-R skylines.
