K&N drop in air filter

good investment
I bought one and I think that it was a good investment. I will say that there was a difference. Not much. But I also added a Bosal and I think that the two did improve the power. I paid about 30 bucks from Summitracing.com.

Did you just drop it in or did you guys drill out the bottom of the air box too??? Or is that not adviseable because of the same hot air issues as the open cone filter??? I know on my caprice, caddy, and my buddy's Explorer we "swiss cheesed" the air box and it helped out
Did you notice better power just in the upper RPM range? Or was it felt across the entire RPM band???
Does anyone have any dyno results???
I think I can sneak this one past my wife.
Thanks,
Bill
EDIT: Just wanted to post that that info was NOT in the FAQ page. I looked.

k&n
I just dropped mine right in. I agree with what was said before. It is as mush power as you can expect for 30 bucks. If you don't want to go to an aftermarket intake then this is the way to go.

filter
you might feel more if you take out all of the resonators after the filter. you know the ones on top of the radiator, and under the 90 degree upwards bend on the front of the air box.
