imeant when the n20 concentration in the engine began to lean out, not the fuel mixture, i guess that wasn't really clear.

I've had the cam for about 2 years now, I passed with flying colors here in Washington. Granted it's not the same car/standards, but my numbers didn't really change at all, so I assume it would be roughly the same for you. I'm not sure how strict they are in NY though. Hope that helps.
