Hey, I need some suggestions for cold air ram/intake. please help me if you can

Hey, I'm new here. I have a 2003 Blue 2.0 liter Mazda protege AT and Ive been looking to try to give my car a little more go. Granted I should have gotten the stick instead if I wanted to do that but hey I can change the past. Anyway, I'm a little skeptical about whose cold air intake or ram air I should use. In fact I don't know if the cold air or ram air is better so I was hoping that some of you guys could let me your experteise and help me out. If you could also tell me what performance boost I could expect that would be exstremely helpful.
Peace
Evan

I used to have a SRI in my car, there was a definate difference in gains in the 3000+ rpm range. It's only about 2 to 4 hp but there is a difference. Now I have a CAI and there is a differnce there too. With a CAI there is a little more low end torque over the SRI. But with both setups, don't expect to get more than a few hp gains.

Agreed^^
I just installed a generic-type SRI yesterday with a Monsterflow filter.
Most of the members here would agree in telling you to go with an e-bay style intake as opposed to going out & buying an AEM or Injen.
The Monsterflow filter is just awesome. I highly recommend it!
Also, there is a small loss of low-end grunt, but it's barely noticeble.

I swear by that Monster flow filter now. I'ts a very nice filter and amazingly priced at about $45+shipping. I would buy the Ebay CAI and use the Monsterflow filter for best gains...this whole package should cost about $100shipped as opposed to $224 for an injen.
