I would like to get a faster acceleration from my car but my mechanic told me that because it's a four wheel drive, it doesn't make sense.

How true is this and is there absolutely nothing I can do to get a faster acceleration? Besides turbo or NOS. I'm lookin' for a NA solution here.

 

cams,headers,exhaust, head work, cold air intake, higher compression pistons....

 

hmmm...thanks. i guess i have to do my homework on these stuff now so i get the right things installed.

i already ordered a MAZDASPEED muffler, but I guess I should have gotten the whole exhaust?

 

yes. A mufler won't do much but change sound

 

i hear ya. well right now i don't have much money to put into the engine and i'm doin' a cosmetic upgrade.

if i had a steady job i wouldn't have to worry about that but since i'm in school, it's kinda hard to come up with cash fast enough to blow it on my car.
