Sir Nuke,
how big is the tip on your exhaust? It does not like very big. I like it! How loud is it? Is it louder than the Mazdaspeed? I suppose so since it eliminates the 2nd cat, right?

Gentlemen,

We have only two Racing Beat Catback systems available. We're blowing them out at $420.00 plus shipping.

We also have a couple of sedan systems available for the same price. We won't be getting more until August. Please contact me if you're interested.

Here's some pics: Looks just like the one on Racing Beat's site. Advanced imports doesn't have any of these in stock. I took the remaining sets off the last order.

That's kinda weird, at the Advanced Import website, they are selling the Racing Beat exhaust for a 2005 protege..

Racing Beat is proud to offer a complete three (3) piece “cat-back” exhaust system for the 2005 Protégé 5. This exhaust system is manufactured using 304 stainless steel tubing, flanges, internal components and muffler canister for superior durability and appearance.

I thought 2003 was the newest!

Well everything sounds all good, but what are the horse power gains from each system? Does anyone have some real evidence of horse power gains with any of the systems? Racing Beat for example... I would love to see something that will reasure me that I won't just spend a lot of money on something that only makes more noise or maybe even decrease horse power.

Dyno comparisons would be the best: Stock vs Exhaust system installed......anything out there.....I think that the companies that sell this systems should have dynoed the cars, but did they do that....I mean they try to tell you that its this and that and 2.25" whatever stainle and whatever elses ....I would much rather have them say: This system will add 10HP to your Protege5. Then I would be satisfied.

the tip sticks out about two inchs at the top and one inch at the bottom...its SLASH cut....angled.....

how loud? its fine...you can really hear it when you are into the throttle...but when you are at constant speeds at or below 70 mph its fine....curising above that speed it starts to get noticable...but I just turn up the tunes then.. :{D

I don't know if its louder than the mazdaspeed...I have never listened to that system.

NO, the Bosal does NOT eliminate any cats.....it DOES eliminate the resonator....but not any of the emmisions system.
