Exaust Header for the 1.6...?

Eric, We'd been talking about this a little bit, but the thread seemed to die off...=)

Anyway, I'm ready to make a purchase on the Bosal exaust system for my '99, and I'm still on the fence about the header mentioned...I'd love to grab the 626 header mentioned in that other thread, and the california-spec exaust with the under-car cat if everything will bolt up properly.

Will that header work?

Thanks,

--->DJ

DJ,
Yes it should work on the 1.8L or 2.0L Proteges. You will need to do some work to relocate the second O2 sensor behind the cat and connect the EGR tube though.

I take it that's a no-go on the 1.6 by the way you phrased that...=(

DJ, sorry I just noticed the subject of your first post. The 1.6L is a Z series engine and is mostly unrelated the the F series engines. I don't think the header flange that bolts to the head will match the 1.6L. Sorry.

Question ZM-DE

TheMan---you mentioned the ZM-DE...in what protege is this engine found?
The reason i ask this is because one of my friends works as an engine parts supplier abd he has been telling me that the engine in my 1.6l 00 Aussie version is a ZM variant...is he right?

Sorry DJ, You are correct, there aren't any headers currently available for the 1.6L engine. Sorry, I'm getting confused between some of these categories. Jeff, I think it's time to split the Modifications area up by car generations.

Where to order the Bosal Exaust?

I can't for the life of me find the Bosal Performance Exaust system for the '99 (Part # 112-210) available for order *anywhere*. Does anyone know where I can mail order this thing?

Thanks,

--->DJ
