E-manage and EGT
E-manage and EGT
I have two question I'm looking to buy a Greddy E-Manage but did anybody know a place to get one in canada?
And I wonder if anyone know the critical value for a EGT Gauge
ex: 1200 is too rich and 700 is lean
I search on the web and I found nothing I've got some for an Eagle Talon, RX7 an so on but not for the Mazda Protege 2002 2.0l engine.
Thanks

The higher the EGT the leaner you are running the lower the richer. I was getting around 1350 degrees at cruising speed with my turbo at around 5 psi. I have taken my EGT gauge off since and I have no idea what it is now. I may put one back on not sure though.
Thanks I'll try searching again
The only thing I'm missing is the EGT value for the protege 5. It's nice to have a turbo but if you don't know what is the maximum value the car can go you can't tune it properly it's nice to have an Air/Fuel meter but it doesn't reflect the temperature near the cylinder. That where it is crucial I hope that some of you running a P5 turbo have thos value. I want to get out the more I can from the turbo without blowing the engine.
