just the miata intake cam is different. The exhaust cams are identical. Its just a small difference in well, and its made to sacrifice some low-end power for high rpm hp.
ohhhh yeah give me that high end power,,........

my car

Hey what's up? I bought a 95 dx 1.5 liter about a month ago and love it. I have not done hardly any mods yet cause I can't afford to much since i'm still in college but I am picking up stuff piece by piece.

Current additions:
New manual shifter ***
fog lights
K&N filter

What i am hoping to do before too much longer:
New exhaust setup
new paint job, the old one kinda bites
spoiler on back
thinking of putting a new engine in 1.8 L
Custom make a cold air intake
instal a tach
Put on rims
clear turn signals and side markers

Ok bro , first try not to use caps ,cause most people really don't like it , On the net it is seen as yelling .
As for springs, that lower close to 2.0 you have th BG extremes , wich will run you 220 dollars , these lower the 2nd gen protege approx. 2.0 to 2.3 inches , although i don't believe it . then you have the intrax springs wich lower the protege 1.8 inches and provide a decent drop and comfy ride ,. these can be attained through either www.corksport.com or www.summitracing.com or www.mazdamotosports.com .
as for 17" wheals there are plenty out there you can choose from , it is just a matter of personal opinion ,. mainly .
As for intakes , for the 1.5L there is the Ractive intake , wich is a nice intake that features a conical filter and a two peace pipping set, you can get this from www.toucanindustries.com

What I have been done ... (Bruce)

Well

working in the lab and eventually in my car...
I got the wheels installed (Helium Ultra light Konigs - 15") and lately working on the ignition system MSD 6A and timing retard. I am having troubles to find which wires in the distributor (we have 7 wires on there) is the actual coil + and actual coil -. As soon as I get this straight, I will have them working. I bought the mazda book, but it didn't give good explanation about the coils. In fact the book refer to "primary coil and secondary coil" what make things still worse. Old dilema... I was thinking about stop by at Mazda dealer and ask the technichian. He might be cool guy and give me help to find out the wires. Several sites show how to proceed the installation on preludes (just three wires [+, - and tach]) but proteges, as usual, has to make things more complicated (7 wires !)

well, overall, yes, I am here in this group, which seems to be a lot bigger than the egroup.
