Advancing ignition timing

well, I saw several links showing that adance timing up to 3-4 degrees can give ya 2-3 hp in the whole rpm range. some others say it hurts performance. have anyone tried? I have an msd and just connecting an advance timing adjustable device (from MSD) I could play with it. But before someone say, just go for it, it would be nice to hear about pros and cons of such mod other than octane grade since the MSD device allows to go back to original timing just turning a ****.

peace,

you will need an MSD ignition box as well. MSD 6A U$149.

Do you think its worth U$95 for the device Bruce?????

95$ for 2-3 HP or U$38/HP ?????
