It doesn't really worth going over 6000rpm because
it's the peak hp (122hp/6000rpm) on a 96 LX(canadian 1.8).
My redline is at 7000rpm.

I usually go at 5500-6000rpm so the next gear goes in at 3500-4000rpm at the peak torque (117lbs/4000rpm) ready to keep on accelerating.

For the top speed, I never got higher than 190km/h(118miles/h)at 5500rpm when the cut-off goes on. I guess with a chip and good tires we can reach 200-220km/h...(with the 1.8)

i push it all the way to 6500 in first and second (and third if im not going up hill)

thats with the 1.5

but i mean, ive beaten the 2 earlier generation corollas...
auto civics
auto integra ls
a nissan pulsar
a vw rabbit

so if u push the 1.5, theyre not THAT bad
and if u get a good launch

Hi i'm new. I 've noticed that most of the the US model has a limiter at 120 mph. my P5 does have the limiter but my 98 dx 1.5 prog stick i go it up to 130 mph going to vegas. i wouldn't recomened. any1 knows a place where can i find aftermarket for my 98 dx i know of nopi and corks but more like headers and what are the best set of rims i could use 15, 16 etc.

in general the 15 will be lighter and the 16 will look cooler
the 15 would have a more comfortable ride and the 16 will be more bumpy
the 15 would have worse turn in than the 16
but it could be possible for the 15 to have better grip on the skidpad than the 16

(based on proper plus sizing)

damn, u got up to 130 in ur 1.5L
shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit

nice

who makes aftermarket parts for ur car??
um, nobody

well, cheap power from intake exhaust
but thats barely anything

but if u want real power, ur gonna be spending a over 2 grand

to either do a Naturally aspirated build up of ur motor
1..8L swap
or 1.8L swap with turbo
or 1.5L turbo
