the 1st gens could be very fast as there is a turbocharged motor swap that's 180 horses and could go far beyond that if you want.
the cars are also very reliable...........I have yet to hear of a 1st gen owner who does not think so.......

how many miles is 224,000 km ?
and I guess you are talking about 2700 Canadian dollars since you are from Ontario ???

do it!!! i bought my 1st gen in july with 260 000 on it and it is the greatist car i have ever enjoyed, pepy, fast fun reliable econmical evn when u drive with hight revs, this car will do what you want and a little more, i love my car and wouldnt part from it at all, take it for a test drive and see what we are all sayin, nice car
if i were you i would come down in the price a little to say 2k that sounds reasonable to me, just find some inperfection in the car, good like, like rust and say that will cost so much to fix then take it off the main price, but ya i would strongly recomend this car for a first time car or a first time fun car, either way this car is fun fun fun, i smaile everytime i drive her

I don't think that a Protege with 244,000 miles is worth $2,300 USD .....................no way......................

damn, reading all your plans for your pro is making me miss san diego even more. oh well, i'll be out there in about another 8 months, and we'll be fixin' our pros up together.

What model protege do u have? i bought mine for 4000 with 72k mint with every option it came with so a pro with over 200k for over 2 grand doesnt seem worth it u can find better deals on www.autotrader.com but if u want u can swap in a gtx motor or a gtr motor and get some serious power...
