take 10 metal pizza pan and cut them to size and weld together. Now cross drill it and glue some pieces of tin fiol on the outside edge(many layers are needed).
I shoulda used that on my old daytona.......it would have saved me a lot of money....it probubly would have enhanced the performance on that thing too... ......

How much is a real main seal ??? ....b/c i'm having my machanic do it...he's good......does it all for cash...no tax.....we have known him for a while...and i'm giving him the tranny....he's going to:

* Take tranny off and check clutch ( @ low rpm and with a load on it [ going on a slight uphill ] it is studdering without a fluctuation in rpm ), flywheel and main rear seal

* Water Pump ( leak under car approx one foot in from bumper and on passenger side )

*Go over front end ( Check CV Joints, Spindles, drive axels and bearings )

so...i think i will need to replace the clutch, pass side drive axel and water pump with the tranny..... NOT FUN.....but everything will be riding beautifully...... I CAN'T WAIT WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

My machanic got the seal for me....so anyways....today...i called my machanic....i told him to tear apart the front end and see what felt loose...so this is what is new....

*Brake Pads

*Water pump

*oil pressure guage

*rear main seal

*Clutch

*flywhell machined

*Pass side drive axel, and wheel bearing ( axel was seized and they had to break it to get it out...)

*more i can't remember....

...plus the new tranny with 80 K on it....soo..the grand total for all of it and labour and tax and everything...$920...not bad eh
i really can't complain.....i get it back tomarrow @ noon....
so ZOOM ZOOM !!!
