All of you guys are right and I should probably be stoned where I stand! I definitely learned my lesson the hard way. Thanks for the advice and the links Loginology. I'll definitely get that before I run the car hard at all. With that link to the IC you gave me... doesn't the IC need the tanks to be on the side? That's just what somebody told me.. I dunno. I guess what I wanted to do was get exactly what I wanted first instead of something that will do until I got the money because my dad has to custom make all of the pipes and I didn't want to put him through that twice. We haven't gotten a chance to take the motor apart yet but if it's something pretty bad, what do you guys think about swapping a SOHC block into there and running lower compression pistons? Oh well that's all for now... I'll keep you guys updated.

Also I wanted to say thanks for you guys believing me about the races. I was expecting some BS flags to pop up... especially with me beating the Cobra. I only wish I had a camcorder to tape all of it!

Nope. Me and my dad are going to take it apart early next week. I'll let you guys know. Any opinions on using an SOHC block if i did something bad?

Well me and my dad finally took the engine apart and saw something I didn't want to see. 3 out of the 4 pistons were burned up. The #4 piston even melted a little bit. We pretty much determined that the cause was running it hard with no IC. The spots where it was bad on the pistons were on the upper parts closer to the intake manifold... which would make since because of the really hot air coming in. So...... what I'll probably do is buy a replacement motor from a junk yard to use until I get my other engine built up. Loginology... what are the dimensions on your IC, is it front mount? I'm just interested in some more details about it. Thanks for listening to my problems guys!

Yeah exactly. Can I get some details on the IC you were offering?
