May have found solution for Rear Bumper

Well i was browseing around at http://www.onderground-design.com/BO...cortgrill.html
and on the first page saw a Ford Escort with a Body kit that they just started to make. The front bumper is a little bit wild for me, but it shouldn't take much to get it to fit the pro, right? For you guys into that kinda stuff

Well anyway, What i was wondering was how different are the rear bumpers on the escorts? I was looking at their kit and i like that rear bumper.

Well here's the pics of the kit if you haven't seen it yet.

And they also sell just the grille, which if you didn't know will also fit the 90-93 Protege's. Prices are kinda steep $200 for just this looking grille. Front bumper 390.00, Back bumper 385.00, Side skirts (those should fit on perfectly, right?) 335.00 All USD prices.

Well one thing that i noticed right after this was that the Escort grille comes down in the center on the top so..... a Decklid conversion would be too much time and money. Well Allready answered my question, although i could......ahhhh nevermind.

One more thing, They're also selling eyebrows for $95, that'll fit the 90-93 Protege's i believe.....although don't take my word for it....... i'm pretty sure they'll fit perfectly.

I'm pretty sure that the grille itself fits. I either put an escort grille up to the pro when i was putting the mesh in my grille so mine was out, or i might have put it on. I really don't remember to tell you the truth, so i guess i could be wrong. I think that you're saying it's smaller because of the "hump" in the bumper, and the head lights right? Well aren't the headlights like an inch taller than on the 90-93 Pro's?

What about the eyebrows? Are the headlights the same in length?

geez...

That is one horrible looking piece of fiberglass. IMO the whole kit is a disaster...the rear bumper is weak..it looks like its trying to hard to be "furious"...lol

well, you'll never hear me complain much about after market parts for first gen pro/escorts, but these front bumpers they make and the same with the rear bumpers, they try and make an Aeon Flux (don't even ask if you don't know what that is) cartoonish style body kit for cars, i mean, i'm all about the side skirts, i think most of them look awesome, and a simple flare out for the front and rear bumpers to drop them down a little further would be nice, but the shark look the front of these import body kits have where the front grille is all opened up just looks terrible, mesh insert or not. i mean, just a mean lookin front lip for our bumpers looks awesome as you've seen one person i can think of do with an old honda bumper. i mean, it's less than ideal by all means, but even so, the look is fantastic compaired to these body kits, i say flush the evo design down the toilet with all the other import kits out there! the only first gen vehicle that looks decent enough to have anything on it is the 323 hatch, our sedans look retarded with full EVO III body kits. i've seen maybe 8 or 9 sets of body kits for different cars that ACTUALLY looked slammin, the rest look retarded. save your money and throw a gtx engine in your car. but then again, thats my severely opionionated take on this. IMHO, i don't like these kits at all.
peace

looks good, but around the headlights, will it adapt to the squarness of the 1990-93 Protege Headlights? the escort headlights at the bottom corners closest to the grille, angle up a a 45degree angle for a few cm's. It might look ok, with a small gap.

Rear bumper looks really good too.

EVO bumper (front) with those sideskirts and rear bumper would be a phat conversion.

You know opinions are like ********, everyone has one, so I will give ya my opinion.

THAT IS ONE UGLY *** ESCORT.

If you have to have a body kit, dish out the money for the EVO bodykit at corksport. At least you KNOW it will fit right.

Myself, I plan on just lowering the car, and not adding anything to drastic to my PRO. I want rims, and lower it. that's good enough for me, but hey, everyone has what they like, so.....

Go for what you want to do bro, its just my OPINION
