This drag race shop is going to take my engine apart and rebuild it with all bulletproof pistons rods bearings crank and everything else that is invloved including port and polishing the heads and intake manifold. then they are going to customize a turbo for my car with a front mount intercooler. they say they can make it handle 18-20lbs of boost i'm kinda skeptikal of that but i wouldn't mind 15 lbs of boost. They are doing this for 7500. Seems like alot but i will have a nice fast car.

Do you have the DOHC?? If so the stock internals can already handle that much boost I think up to ~22 psi I'm not sure, but it can definately hold 15 psi....

$7500 is a bit pricey. i could only imagine what i could do with 7500 to my car. take away $850 for my engine, $300 for bov and IC i still have $6350 left over. i could think of a dozen things i'd spend that on.

Is that for an intercooler like the one in your signature? What kind of intercooler is that?

there are a couple of things u can do, 1 is turn up the idle, you can have it idling at around 1500 and still have it valid(i was told by an inspector that it cuts back on emissions), 2 i remeber hearing about stuff that cuts down on ur emission, its like $20 a bottle just pop it in beforehand (not sure if it works though), find a friend in the buisness and have him to an "oversight" when it comes to the emissions.

If u want to be really clever have the car's place of residency declared to be in west virginia where you're allowed to do almost anything .
