i thought you had to have a support bracket made up to support an evo bumper? or maybe thats a bit of info i picked up off someone that did a gtx swap and had to make room for an intercooler... but EVO isn't necessarily a DIRECT bolt on right? i mean, doesn't it need slight modification to fit properly?
peace

Direct bolt on

yup the EVO bumper fits just fine...all u gotta do is drill the holes in the bumper to go on to the car. It kinda sux without a support brace tho...One time i hit a piece of tire on the highway and i ripped my bumper off of one side. The bumper wanst harmed but the Headlight bracket in which it screws intop tore apart and i had to go to the junk yard for a new one ...all in all tho..the bumper worth the money..but its also worth yur time in making a support brace. ill be making one soon probably depends how this Intercooler is gonna fit on there.

Darryl has an excellent page on installing the bumper (and the support brace) for those interested.

I think the EVO bumper is pretty nice. Everything other than the EVO and the GTX is garbage IMO. Not unless its something custom that I haven't seen already.

Yeah, the Combat kit is not bad at all. The back bumper is the only part of the kit that I don't like. It's a tough choice between that bumper and the EVO caps I've been waiting for this kit to come to the US for so long now that I had totally forgotten about it.

[i] our sedans look retarded with full EVO III body kits. i've seen maybe 8 or 9 sets of body kits for different cars that ACTUALLY looked slammin, the rest look retarded. ... IMHO, i don't like these kits at all.

Larger FMIC cooling capabilities and more direct-air surface area.

Yeah I've been waiting for that kit forever also. Corksport keeps extending the date when it will be done.

Thats my favorite part of the kit! I don't like the evo caps at all. There isnt any other full rear bumper anywhere that Ive seen.

Yeah i absolutely despise the EVO bumper caps. The rest of the EVO kit is allright, i prefer the GTR bumper. The EVO kit is way overpriced for what it looks like. I guess they don't sell enough to make a big profit if it was priced less. I planned on getting that kit, but then i saw one on a Mitsu Mirage. I didn't really like how the sides of the holes only go in like 2 inches, and the way the botom of the bumper curves in, then curves back out; so i decided not to get it. The GTR bumper is decently priced too. I'm talking about the replica not the J-spec one. If i went Turbo then i'd get the GTR for the extra clearance for the FMIC. The stock bumper looks to be very hard to fit anything under it, w/o midifications to anything.
